* จริงๆ แล้วผมเองก็อยากแปลเป็นภาษาไทยไว้ให้นะ แต่ช่วงนี้ไม่ว่างเลยจริงๆ คิดว่าคงจะแปลให้ตามที่เคยบอกไว้ไม่ได้แล้ว ก็ขอให้แต่ละคนพยายามอ่านฝึกภาษากันเองนะครับ

Squall: "Why are they.... what do I do?"

Squall: You two got it wrong.

Squall: I'm more comfortable going it alone.

Zidane: By yourself.... won't you be lonely?

Bartz: Ah, you want us to split up and search for their whereabouts....

Bartz: Then, we will go this way.

Zidane: We'll find the Crystals and then meet up again!

Bartz: Ah, right, right....

Squall: What is it?

Bartz: In case you have trouble meeting up with us...

Bartz: Take this!

Squall: What is it? Some dirty feather?

Squall: Their sympathy is just troublesome baggage.

Squall: However, I could help them by being their rear guard.*

*(Not like that, yaoi fans.)

Squall: But I refused their invitation. That was my bad decision.

Cosmos: No, your decision was the correct one.

Cosmos: To obtain the Crystals, each of you has to fight the true enemy who lurks in your hearts.

Cosmos: Only alone can you face your real opponent.

Squall: My real opponent.... that bitch.*

*(I just had to)

Cosmos: Correct.... She who manipulates time, Sorceress Utlimecia.

Cosmos: If you defeat her, you shall obtain your Crystal.

Cosmos: This is the blessed road of solitude.

Cosmos: Can you go through with this choice of aloofness?

Squall: I don't have to answer that. Do you want me to pledge it on this charm though?

Cosmecia*: Yes, that would be fine.

*(Dun, dun, dun. Ah, doesn't she just love talking through other women? And I love that portmanteau name.)

Garland: If we claim Cosmos' life, then they will also vanish. You don't need to take such risks.

Ultimecia: And where does it say that it isn't needed to guarantee that the Emperor's plan runs smoothly?

Ultimecia: Is it truly possible to deliver unto Cosmos "the Perfect Death"?

Garland: ...In other words, you're saying that with you being you, there are other plans in the works.

Ultimecia: Are you not the same? I know full well.... you are very well-informed regarding Chaos.

Garland: Hmm.....

*(I used "Divine Dragon" before but since I am 100% sure that it is supposed to be THAT Shinryu, I will use the more recognizable name now)

Ultimecia: Won't you be cooperative?

Squall: (The choice of aloofness.... huh. That's not too imposing.)

Squall: (But once you decide to go it alone, you have to progress carefully.)

Squall: (When fighting these guys, there is only one rule - Figure out exactly how to attack)

Squall: They get so noisy over nothing.

(And for once... we have Kefka making a great deal of sense)

Kefka: Hmmm... certainly when you go hunting, you really should bring some bait.

Kuja: Bait?

Kefka: When dealing with a monkey who risks his life for his friends, shouldn't you put one of them in mortal danger?

Kuja: But, they all travel in groups. Even catching some bait would require another plan in itself.

Kefka: Not all of them. There is that lonesome lonely loner.*

*(Kefka used two separate terms to refer to Squall's single status, so I bumped it up to three for effect. Because everything is funny after three repetitions)

Kefka: Don't you want to gain a lil influence over Ultimecia? Barring any obstacles, it wouldn't it be like getting two birds with one stone?

Squall: This whole good luck charm thing is so stupid.....

Squall: Either way, I guess that keeping it.... isn't such a bad thing.

Squall: Damn... they weren't lying when they called this an infinite army of Imitations.

Kuja: Are you enjoying your solitude?

Squall: What do you want?

Kuja: I want you to be the bait on my lure when I go Zidane hunting.

Kuja: You are being so reckless, traveling alone. You really should be in a party.

Squall: Whatever. I'll just pass on talking to you.

Kuja: What was that?

Squall: Zidane also had his sights set on some worthless guy.

Zidane: "We'll find the Crystals and then meet up again!"

Bartz: "It's a promise!"

(Squall takes out the feather as these memories play across his mind)

Squall: This is what I should be doing.

Squall: For now.... I'll keep soldiering on.

Squall: I.... I'll have to keep fighting alone.

Squall: In any case, I have to obtain a Crystal ASAP. This is my duty, though I....

Squall: Come on... who's next?

----------------

Squall: (...I feel a surge of light. Is someone else in the vicinity?)

Squall: "Mr. Radiant... makes his entrance."

Warrior: You are alone?

Squall: "Why do I have to keep hearing that?"

Squall: One by one, we have to face our real opponent or we will not obtain the Crystals.

Squall: Cosmos told me that.

Warrior: Cosmos?

Squall: We don't always have to fight together.

Squall: Even when separated, we can still support each other.

Warrior: I think that I may have misunderstood you.

Ultimecia: About now, Zidane and Bartz are probably being beaten into submission by Kuja.

Ultimecia: And you cannot go back and save them.

Ultimecia: In your heart of hearts, is there proof that you have any feelings beyond apathy?*

*(I felt okay about adding the question mark since she ends this sentence with the question particle. And the meaning has tweaked a bit here for better flow.)

Squalll: "Apathy?"

Ultimecia: That's right, that is the nature of the battlefield.

(Can I say that the way the camera starts rolling at this point always makes me a lil dizzy and uncomfortable? Weird, but cool effect, S-E)

Ultimeca: Now, show me that sublime power!

(Squall lowers his gunblade at this point)

Ultimecia: Have you lost your nerve? Well, that is okay.

Ultimecia: I shall not run nor hide.

Ultimecia: When the time comes, I will be waiting.

Squall: You think you understand, but it's not so simple.

Squall: I had already made my decision - I'm doing my duty for the sake of this precious charm...!

Squall: I'm... I'm not doing this to prove my own strength either.

Ultimecia: So you came.

Ultimecia: Alone, having abandoned your friends, you seek to only fulfill your own desires.

Squall: I have come here to fulfill a promise.

Squall: For their sake, I will not be stopped.

Squall: Since I believe that I am not alone, I can fight through my path alone!

Ultimecia: How amusing...

Ultimecia: Then let us see how you fight through this.*

*(tweaked to fit with Squall's line)

Garland: We shall both be your opponent.

Ultimecia: What will you do? Are you strong enough?

Squall: ....circumstances could be better.

Squall: But I'll just have to take you both down here and that will make everyone's lives easier.

Squall: I'll prove it to you.

Squall: Though we are separated, we still fight together!

(And we get to see Zidane knock Garland down once again!)

Zidane: You're being too cool, Squall!

Squall: Zidane!

Squall: Why did you do that?

Zidane: Do you need a reason to help someone?

Zidane: Just leave this old man to me!

Squall: "You have no idea how to read a situation."

Squall: Whatever... that's fine by me.

Squall: Don't keep me waiting, let's go....

Ultimecia: Dance with me then.*

*(Not the exact same line Rinoa used to invite him to dance, but close enough for me to reference it)

(Cool as a cucumber, Ultimecia keeps phasing in and out of time to avoid Squall's attacks)

Squall: Enough!

Ultimecia: Time!

(The way I describe this, Ultimecia steps outside of the flow of time to do as she pleases in this instant... which involves taunting Squall and filling the air with her projectiles.)

Ultimecia: Foolish boy.

Ultimecia: Everything is deception...

Ultimecia: Hopes, friendships...

Ultimecia; Even your life.

Ultimecia: Naught but scattered dreams.

(She slips back into normal time and Squall is just bad-ass as he takes out those arrows.)

Ultimecia: At least you will die easily.

Squall: Manipulating time may be your power...

Squall: but I will still crush you!

(Can I say that so far, this is my favorite Hero Vs Villian prelude scene? Seriously, this emphasizes the sheer awesomeness of both opponents so perfectly. And when Ultimecia is outside of time, that warped version of Liberili Fatali in the background adds the perfect freaky touch.)

Ultimecia: Eventually, you too shall realize it.

Ultimecia: The truth of time is that you can never regain it!

Zidane: Squall!

Squall: Zidane, I owe you one.

Zidane: Don't worry about that.

Zidane: We don't have time to talk! We have a problem, a big problem!

Squall: "You say big problem, but you're not one for tension..."

Zidane: Bartz... Bartz has...

Zidane: He was caught in a trap and transported somewhere! We've gotta hurry to help him!

Squall: Bartz? I understand, let's go.

Zidane: Eh.... it's okay?

Squall: I have to return this to him.

Zidane: That's it?

Squall: .... and he is a friend.

Zidane: Yah!

(And the Crystal appears to power up the Magical Chocobo Feather of Friendship to lead them to Bartz!)

Zidane: This.... it'll lead us to Bartz?

Squall: He's waiting on us.

Firion: The Wild Rose...

Firion: That was the answer I had been seeking.

Zidane: Is it something to do with a princess?*

*(Technically, yes.)
